NTPC's subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the second part capacity of 91.6 MW out of a 250 MW Solar PV Project in Andhra Pradesh, effective 27th February 2026. The first part of 158.4 MW was already declared on COD on 20th February 2026. The project is being executed by Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited joint venture. With this addition, the NTPC group's total installed capacity stands at 88,274 MW and commercial capacity at 87,194 MW. NGEL group's installed capacity has risen to 9,292.68 MW. Certification was provided by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI).
This is a positive but routine capacity addition for NTPC's green energy portfolio. The remaining ~0 MW of the 250 MW project appears to be the final minor portion still pending COD. No direct material impact on NTPC's standalone revenue is expected, but it strengthens the renewable energy growth pipeline.
