NTPC's subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared Commercial Operation Date (COD) for additional capacity in two solar projects in Rajasthan. Project Eleven Renewable Power Private Limited commissioned an additional 12.5 MW (taking its total to 100 MW out of a planned 150 MW), and Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited commissioned an additional 50 MW (taking its total to 200 MW out of a planned 300 MW), both effective 15th May 2026. With this, NTPC group's total installed capacity stands at 89,868 MW and commercial capacity at 88,788 MW.
These are incremental additions to NTPC's renewable energy portfolio, signalling continued green energy capacity growth under NGEL. The market may view this positively as NTPC diversifies beyond thermal power.
