NTPC's subsidiary THDC India Limited has declared Unit II (660 MW) of the Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant on commercial operation, effective from 00:00 Hrs on 26 September 2025. This is the second 660 MW unit of the 2x660 MW Khurja STPP project. With this commissioning, THDC India's total installed and commercial capacity rises to 3,407 MW. The NTPC group's total installed and commercial capacity now stands at 83,696 MW.
This is a positive operational milestone for NTPC group, adding 660 MW of thermal generation capacity that will contribute to incremental revenue once the unit runs at full load. It reflects steady execution of NTPC's capacity expansion roadmap and strengthens its overall power generation portfolio.
