Octavius Plantations reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs 599.69 lakhs, down sharply from Rs 1,379.04 lakhs in Q2 FY25 — a decline of about 57% year-on-year. For the half-year (H1 FY26), revenue fell to Rs 1,155.66 lakhs from Rs 1,876.51 lakhs, a 38% drop. Despite the steep revenue fall, net profit for Q2 rose to Rs 10.24 lakhs (from Rs 7.32 lakhs, +40% YoY) and H1 PAT was Rs 38.51 lakhs vs Rs 34.74 lakhs, supported by lower purchases and a deferred tax credit. EPS for the half-year stood at Rs 1.28 vs Rs 1.16 earlier. The auditor (V. Singhi & Associates) issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
Revenue is shrinking fast while the company is leaning heavily on borrowings — current debt jumped to Rs 1,965 lakhs from Rs 710 lakhs and operating cash flow turned sharply negative at Rs (1,207) lakhs. Shareholders should watch for whether top-line weakness is temporary or structural, and whether the rising debt load can be serviced from operations.
