Octavius Plantations Limited published its un-audited standalone financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2025 in a newspaper, as required by SEBI listing rules. Total income from operations fell sharply to Rs 602.84 lakhs in Q2 FY26, down from Rs 1,379.28 lakhs in Q2 FY25 — a drop of roughly 56% year-on-year. Half-yearly revenue also declined to Rs 1,163.66 lakhs versus Rs 1,877.02 lakhs in the same period last year. Despite the steep revenue fall, net profit after tax actually improved to Rs 10.24 lakhs (vs Rs 7.32 lakhs in Q2 FY25), and half-yearly profit rose to Rs 38.51 lakhs from Rs 34.74 lakhs. EPS for the quarter stood at Rs 0.34, up from Rs 0.24 a year ago.
Mixed signals for shareholders: top-line has weakened significantly, but the company managed to grow profits and EPS, suggesting better cost control or margin improvement. Investors should watch whether the revenue decline is a temporary blip or a structural concern, given the sharp drop in operations income.
