Appointment of Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs)

ONGC's Board has approved the appointment of Shri Satyan Kumar (DIN: 10181958) as Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) effective 27 May 2026. The appointment was made by the Government of India (Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas) and will last until his superannuation on 30 November 2028. Kumar is a veteran energy sector professional with over 36 years of experience across upstream, midstream, petrochemicals, and corporate strategy. He was previously Executive Director – Chief Corporate Strategy at ONGC and has played a key role in driving the company's diversification into renewable energy, petrochemicals, and LNG. He currently chairs ONGC Tripura Power Company and serves on boards of other green energy ventures.
