Oil India Limited hosted an investor presentation for FY2025-26, reporting standalone PAT of Rs 4,455 crore (down 27% from Rs 6,114 crore in FY25), while consolidated PAT rose 7% to Rs 7,551 crore. Total standalone income was Rs 24,039 crore and consolidated income Rs 38,981 crore. The company achieved its highest-ever daily crude oil production of 81,354 barrels in the last decade and drilled a record 74 wells. Key challenges included a 10-15 day economic blockade in eastern producing areas causing 0.33 MMTOE production loss. Crude realization dropped to $69.04/bbl from $78.09/bbl. Operating margins declined to 17.3% from 31% in FY25. The stock outperformed BSE O&G Index with 32% returns. Management targets include 5+ GW renewable energy by 2040, 25 CBG plants by 2030, and NRL refinery expansion from 3 to 9 MMTPA.
The decline in standalone PAT and operating margins due to lower crude prices and one-time disruptions is a concern, but the diversified integrated energy strategy with focus on downstream, midstream and new energy provides long-term growth visibility. The company remains a consistent dividend payer with strong government backing.
