Oil India Limited reported its Q1FY26 results on August 12, 2025. Consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹2,046.51 crore, slightly higher than ₹2,016.30 crore in Q1FY25. However, standalone PAT fell sharply to ₹813.48 crore from ₹1,466.84 crore a year ago, mainly because the crude oil price realisation dropped 22% — from USD 84.89/barrel to USD 66.20/barrel. Consolidated EPS rose marginally to ₹11.66 per share from ₹11.59 per share. Oil & Gas production was largely flat at 1.680 MMTOE versus 1.689 MMTOE last year. The company also announced a new hydrocarbon discovery at the Namrup-Borhat OALP block and started gas production from the Bakhritibba block in Rajasthan. Subsidiary NRL's crude throughput rose to 799 TMT from 764 TMT.
The headline consolidated PAT growth masks a steep standalone profit decline driven by lower crude prices, which is a key concern for shareholders. New exploration discoveries and stable production are positives, but the sharp fall in realisations suggests near-term margin pressure remains.
