Ola Electric reported FY26 volumes were lower than desired, but the company achieved significant operational milestones. Q4 consolidated gross margin reached 38.5%, up sharply from 13.7% last year, making it industry-leading among 2W OEMs. The company reported its first operating cash-flow positive quarter with consolidated CFO of ₹91 crore and auto segment CFO of ₹213 crore. Consolidated operating expenses were reduced from ₹844 crore in Q4 FY25 to ₹428 crore in Q4 FY26. April registrations recovered with 20% MoM growth against an industry decline of 22%. For Q1 FY27, the company expects 40,000-45,000 orders and revenue of ₹500-550 crore. The Gigafactory is scaling from 2.5 GWh to 6 GWh, with the 4680 Bharat Cell now deployed in 15% of orders and full portfolio transition planned by September 2026. The company is also expanding into energy storage with Shakti and Mahashakti products.
The communication signals a potential turnaround with improving fundamentals, margin expansion, and first cash-flow positive quarter. Q1 FY27 guidance of near-doubling revenue sequentially suggests volume recovery is underway, while the Gigafactory scaling and energy storage expansion indicate new growth avenues beyond vehicles.
