Olympic Cards Ltd has written to BSE requesting waiver of SOP fines totaling roughly Rs.3.90 lakh (plus GST) for late or non-compliance with SEBI (LODR) regulations across the Dec 2020 and Dec 2024 quarters. The fines relate to Reg. 19(1)/(2), Reg. 7(1), Reg. 31, Reg. 18(1), and Reg. 19(1)/(2). The company argues these should be waived because the Dec 2020 issues were caused by COVID-19 disruptions and the death of its Company Secretary, and that BSE itself granted a general waiver for COVID-period quarters. For the Dec 2024 fines, it says it appointed a new Independent Director within the permitted three-month window. BSE has already partially waived some fines, including the Rs.92,000 Reg. 7(1) fine for Dec 2020, but residual penalties of about Rs.2.76 lakh remain.
This is a compliance and penalty-related update with no impact on the company's business or earnings. If the remaining waivers are not granted, Olympic Cards will need to pay roughly Rs.3.26 lakh (including GST), which is immaterial to its financials. The stock price is unlikely to be affected.
