The company currently operates approximately 2,50,000 sq. ft. of warehousing capacity on lease with an average utilization of 87% over the past year. Through this acquisition, the company is adding roughly 1,98,000 sq. ft. of open and closed warehousing space, representing about 79% increase in capacity. The investment totals approximately ₹32 crore, funded through a combination of bank term loan and internal accruals. The new facility is expected to become operational within 3 months from acquisition. The rationale includes supporting demand growth and strengthening the distribution network.
The acquisition significantly expands the company's warehousing footprint by nearly 80%, reducing reliance on leased facilities and potentially improving margins.
