Om Freight Forwarders Limited has announced capacity expansion by acquiring a warehouse at Mauje Sarade, Taluka Uran, District Raigad for approximately ₹32 crore. The new facility will add about 1,98,000 sq. ft. of open and closed warehousing capacity, increasing total capacity by about 79%. This is being financed via term loan from bank and internal accruals. The existing leased capacity of 2,50,000 sq. ft. is currently operating at 87% utilization, indicating capacity constraints that this expansion aims to address. The new warehouse is expected to be operational within 3 months.
This acquisition increases the company's owned warehousing footprint significantly, reducing dependency on leased facilities. With 87% capacity utilization on existing infrastructure, this expansion supports future revenue growth and operational efficiency. The ₹32 crore investment (funded partly by debt) will increase assets but also add to liabilities.
