Orient Electric reported Q4 FY26 revenue of INR 948 crores (up 10% YoY) with EBITDA of INR 77 crores (8.2% margin) and PAT of INR 40 crores (up 28.9% YoY). Full year FY26 revenue stood at INR 3,326 crores (up 7.5% YoY) with EBITDA of INR 229 crores (up 12.4% YoY). The company faced significant headwinds from commodity inflation, labour shortages, and gas supply disruptions due to the West Asia crisis. Lighting and Switchgear grew 16% YoY, while ECD grew 7.6% despite industry softness. The company took calibrated price increases of approximately 6% in fans and lighting to offset rising costs. Its Sanchay cost savings program delivered INR 68 crores in FY26. Premium mix in fans improved to 35% of domestic revenue. The company gained 30-40 basis points of market share.
The company demonstrated resilience with margin improvement despite commodity headwinds, but margin expansion remains constrained by input cost inflation not fully recovered through pricing. Management targets double-digit EBITDA margins as conditions normalize.
