Orient Electric reported Q4 FY26 revenue of ₹948 crore (up 10% YoY) and full-year FY26 revenue of ₹3,326 crore (up 7.5% YoY). EBITDA grew 15.8% YoY to ₹77 crore in Q4 with margin expanding 41 bps to 8.2%, while FY26 EBITDA rose 12.4% to ₹229 crore with margin at 6.9%. PAT improved 28.9% YoY to ₹40 crore in Q4 and 15.2% to ₹95.8 crore for FY26. Gross margin contracted slightly (down 47 bps to 31.0% in Q4) due to elevated commodity prices, but the company took ~4% cumulative pricing actions and its 'Sanchay' cost-efficiency program delivered ₹68 crore savings for FY26. Lighting & Switchgear segment showed strong double-digit growth (₹287 crore, +16% YoY), with wires revenue doubling. The company maintained a net cash position of ₹67 crore, up from ₹52 crore year-over-year.
The earnings show solid execution with margin expansion despite commodity headwinds, driven by cost savings and operating leverage. The net cash position and working capital efficiency (31 days) provide financial flexibility. Diversification across segments and premiumisation strategy are driving sustainable growth.
