Orient Electric's Board approved unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations rose to Rs 769.08 crore from Rs 754.86 crore in the same quarter last year, a growth of about 1.9%. Net profit increased to Rs 17.52 crore (vs Rs 14.34 crore), with EPS at Rs 0.82 (vs Rs 0.67). The company also appointed Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP as its Internal Auditor for FY 2025-26, replacing the previous internal auditor. The statutory auditor S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP continued with the limited review of the quarterly results. The filing also notes excess managerial remuneration of Rs 0.81 crore to MD/CEO pending shareholder approval, and ongoing GST/excise demand disputes totalling Rs 63.20 crore which the company is contesting.
Mildly positive – steady revenue growth and ~22% rise in net profit show operational stability. The appointment of a top-tier firm like Deloitte as internal auditor is a governance positive. The GST demand exposure remains a watch item, though no provision has been made.
