Orient Green Power's subsidiary Beta Wind Farm Private Limited has received approval to expand its installed capacity. Beta issued a Letter of Intent to Renfra Energy India Limited for supply, installation and commissioning of 2 Wind Turbine Generators of 3.3 MW each, totaling 6.6 MW capacity. The project will be located in Karur District, Tamil Nadu on a turnkey basis. The contract value is approximately Rs. 62 crores inclusive of GST. The IBBC Committee of Beta approved the expansion plan on May 19, 2026, and the contract is to be executed by July 31, 2026. The transaction is not a related party transaction and no promoter group interest exists in Renfra.
This is a positive expansion announcement adding 6.6 MW of wind energy capacity. The Rs. 62 crore investment represents significant capex for the company and could support future revenue growth, though the timeline is relatively short.
