Orient Paper & Industries has submitted copies of newspaper publications (Business Standard in English and Pratidin in Oriya) of its unaudited financial results for Q3 FY26 (quarter ended 31 December 2025) and the nine-month period, as required under SEBI LODR regulations. Total income from operations rose about 2.7% year-on-year to ₹23,638.52 lacs in Q3 FY26, compared to ₹23,010.10 lacs in Q3 FY25, but the company reported a net loss of ₹2,125.98 lacs, wider than the ₹1,050.97 lacs loss a year ago. For the nine months ended December 2025, revenue was broadly flat at ₹67,448.12 lacs versus ₹67,651.43 lacs in the prior year period, while the net loss narrowed significantly to ₹1,786.31 lacs from ₹3,658.50 lacs, translating to a loss per share of ₹0.84 versus ₹1.72. The results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board on 11 February 2026.
The company remains loss-making, which is a continuing concern for shareholders, but the sharp year-on-year narrowing of the 9-month net loss and improvement in EPS may be viewed as a modest positive. The stock reaction will likely depend on whether investors focus on the wider Q3 sequential/YoY loss or the improving nine-month trend.
