Orissa Bengal Carrier's board approved Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited financial results. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations rose to ₹8,522.28 lakhs (up about 13% from ₹7,542.58 lakhs in Q1 FY25), and profit after tax jumped to ₹186.96 lakhs (up roughly 84% from ₹101.72 lakhs), with EPS at ₹0.89 versus ₹0.48. On a standalone basis, however, revenue slipped to ₹7,225.91 lakhs and PAT fell sharply to ₹18.06 lakhs from ₹101.88 lakhs due to higher other expenses and finance costs. The board also approved the 30th AGM for September 12, 2025, the Board's Report for FY25, and the re-appointment of Mr. Gopal Kumar Agrawalla as Non-Executive Director. The auditor (Agrawal Mahendra & Co.) issued a clean limited review with no qualifications.
Consolidated earnings show strong YoY growth in both revenue and profit, supported by the new trading business segment, which should be viewed positively. However, the steep standalone PAT drop and dependence on the subsidiary for consolidated profits are points investors should watch closely.
