Orosil Smiths India Limited announced its audited financial results for the fourth quarter and full financial year ended March 31, 2025. Revenue from operations surged to Rs 280.73 lakhs in FY25, up from just Rs 50.49 lakhs in FY24, a jump of nearly 5.5x. Total income rose to Rs 282.53 lakhs from Rs 54.51 lakhs. Despite higher expenses of Rs 306.30 lakhs (vs Rs 95.28 lakhs), the company swung to a profit after tax of Rs 61.07 lakhs compared to a loss of Rs 40.66 lakhs last year, supported by a large deferred tax credit of Rs 84.85 lakhs. Basic EPS improved to Rs 0.15 from a loss of Rs 0.10. The board approved the results on April 18, 2025, and the auditor DMARKS & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
The company has reported a sharp top-line revival and turned profitable after a loss-making prior year, which is a positive signal for shareholders. However, the swing to profit is heavily aided by a deferred tax adjustment, so investors should watch whether operating profits sustain going forward before drawing strong conclusions on the stock.
