McNally Bharat Engineering Company reported audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2026. Revenue from operations declined to Rs 7,315.35 lakhs from Rs 10,492.36 lakhs in the prior year (approximately 30% decline). The company posted a net profit of Rs 34,521.97 lakhs for FY26 compared to a loss of Rs 1,71,608.57 lakhs in FY25, primarily due to exceptional income of Rs 38,914.37 lakhs from implementation of the Resolution Plan under IBC. Finance costs reduced drastically from Rs 84,850.37 lakhs to Rs 22,242.91 lakhs following debt extinguishment. Total equity turned positive at Rs 57,069.44 lakhs versus negative equity of Rs 5,89,227.38 lakhs previously. Borrowings reduced dramatically from Rs 3,09,423.86 lakhs to Rs 9,483.95 lakhs. The company also announced CFO change with Rupayan Majumdar resigning effective May 30, 2026, and Harish Avadhani appointed effective June 1, 2026.
While the Resolution Plan implementation has significantly improved the balance sheet by eliminating massive debt and restoring positive equity, the company continues to face operational challenges with declining revenues and ongoing losses in core operations. Shareholders should monitor whether the new CFO can improve operational performance.
