The board of Betala Global Securities Ltd approved its audited standalone financial results for the quarter and year ended 31 March 2025. Total revenue for FY25 was Rs 7.68 lacs, down from Rs 8.13 lacs in FY24. However, total expenses ballooned to Rs 34.62 lacs from Rs 9.24 lacs, driven mainly by a sharp jump in other expenses (Rs 31.62 lacs vs Rs 5.34 lacs). The company reported a net loss of Rs 26.94 lacs for FY25, widening from a Rs 1.11 lac loss in FY24, with EPS at Rs (1.96). On the balance sheet, other equity is negative at Rs (88.16) lacs and current liabilities nearly doubled to Rs 54.48 lacs. The statutory auditor, CRBS & Associates LLP, issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
The stock is a small, loss-making company with mounting expenses out of proportion to revenue and negative accumulated reserves, signalling ongoing financial weakness for shareholders. The clean audit opinion is a positive procedural point, but the underlying business performance is deteriorating.
