Oxford Industries Ltd reported its unaudited Q1 FY26 results (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations was nil compared to Rs. 60.13 lakhs in the same quarter last year, though total income stood at Rs. 32.55 lakhs (up from Rs. 17.20 lakhs) thanks entirely to other income. Profit after tax jumped to Rs. 28.08 lakhs from Rs. 0.69 lakhs year-on-year, with basic EPS at Rs. 0.47. Alongside the results, the company appointed M/s Pams & Associates as the new statutory auditor after the previous auditor resigned effective July 10, 2025. Managing Director Mazher Nuruddin Laila stepped down as MD but continues as a Director, Independent Director Quaid Mohammed Hararwala resigned citing other commitments, and the registered office is being shifted within Mumbai. The 44th AGM is scheduled for September 16, 2025.
Operational revenue dried up this quarter, but a one-off other income boosted bottom-line numbers. Shareholders should watch closely whether core business resumes in coming quarters. The mid-year statutory auditor change and resignation of the Managing Director are governance red flags that warrant attention, though the new auditor issued a clean limited review report.
