Paisalo Digital Limited has received a new credit rating of BWR AA/Stable from Brickwork Ratings India Private Limited for its proposed Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) worth Rs. 1,500 crores. The NCDs will be issued in multiple tranches during FY 2026-27, each with a 5-year tenure, and the proceeds will be used exclusively to grow the loan book in the MSME and small business segments. This is in addition to the existing rating from Infomerics Analytics. The company reported a loan book of Rs. 5,508 crores as of December 2025, up from Rs. 3,493 crores in FY23, with a comfortable CRAR of 38.30% and net interest margin improving to 6.63%. The Stable outlook signals low likelihood of rating change in the medium term, though asset quality metrics showed some slippage with 30+ DPD rising to 3.15%.
This is a positive development for shareholders — the high investment-grade AA rating will help Paisalo raise Rs. 1,500 crores at competitive borrowing costs to fuel MSME loan growth. The stable outlook and strong liquidity position (LCR of 6x) support business expansion, though investors should monitor rising delinquencies and moderate scale relative to larger NBFC peers.
