Panacea Biotec reported strong revenue growth in Q1 FY26, with standalone revenue from operations nearly doubling to ₹11,225 lakh from ₹5,688 lakh a year earlier, and consolidated revenue rising about 44% to ₹16,670 lakh. On a standalone basis, the company still posted a loss of ₹670 lakh, but this was much smaller than the ₹1,378 lakh loss in Q1 FY25. On a consolidated basis, the company swung to a profit of ₹396 lakh from a loss of ₹1,588 lakh last year, helped by an exceptional income of ₹1,132 lakh from a settlement with Apotex and deferred consideration from past brand sales. The Vaccines segment drove growth, while the Formulations segment saw a slight revenue dip. The auditor (Suresh Surana & Associates LLP) gave an unmodified limited review conclusion.
The sharp revenue jump and return to consolidated profitability are positive signals for shareholders, though standalone losses persist and a large share of the profit came from one-off settlement income rather than core operations. The auditor change (predecessor auditors reviewed the year-ago numbers) is worth noting.
