Paradeep Phosphates reported a 452% jump in FY25 profit after tax, powered by record fertilizer sales of 3.03 million tonnes (up 20% YoY). Revenue from operations grew 19% to ₹13,820 crore, EBITDA rose 91% to ₹1,367 crore, and profit before tax surged 434% to ₹753 crore. Q4 FY25 was particularly strong, with revenue up 56% to ₹3,494 crore, EBITDA doubling to ₹389 crore, and PBT rising nearly eightfold to ₹223 crore. The Board recommended a dividend of ₹1 per share, net debt-to-equity improved to 0.78 (down 28% YoY), and 74% of EBITDA converted into free cash flow. Expansion of sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid capacity is on track, and the company was ranked in the top 2% globally in S&P's chemicals sector ESG assessment.
Robust all-round performance, record volumes, deleveraging, and a dividend declaration are positive signals for shareholders and could support the stock price. However, the dividend yield is modest at ₹1 on a ₹10 face value, and execution of capacity expansion projects will be key to sustaining growth.
