Paramount Communications reported standalone revenue of Rs. 1,912 Cr for FY26, up 22.8% from Rs. 1,557 Cr in FY25, driven by wires and cables segment growth. However, profit after tax fell 30.5% to Rs. 60.24 Cr from Rs. 86.72 Cr, impacted by rising raw material costs (Rs. 1,429 Cr, up 16.6%), higher finance costs (Rs. 21 Cr, up 93%), and other expenses (Rs. 360 Cr, up 49%). EBITDA declined to ~Rs. 96 Cr with margins compressing to ~5% from ~7.9% prior year. The company posted negative operating cash flow of Rs. 42 Cr (vs +Rs. 102 Cr prior year) due to a sharp Rs. 211 Cr increase in trade receivables. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified opinion. The board also reappointed cost and internal auditors for FY27.
Revenue growth of 23% is positive but a 30.5% PAT decline and negative operating cash flow signal margin pressure and working capital stress, which may concern investors despite the clean audit opinion.
