Pasupati Acrylon's board approved unaudited Q1 FY26 results (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations jumped to Rs 216.05 Cr from Rs 154.80 Cr in Q1 FY25, a rise of about 39%, boosted by a new Ethanol segment (capitalized March 2025) contributing Rs 55.81 Cr. However, profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 1.75 Cr from Rs 11.25 Cr in the year-ago quarter, an ~84% drop, dragged down by higher material costs and finance charges. EPS slipped to Rs 0.20 from Rs 1.26. The statutory auditor (B.K. Shroff & Co.) issued an unqualified limited review report. Separately, two Independent Directors (S.C. Malik and D.K. Kapila) will retire at the September 18 AGM, and Sudhir Agarwal and Sanjiv Nair will be appointed as new Independent Directors from September 1, 2025. Board committees have been reconstituted accordingly.
Strong top-line growth from the new Ethanol segment is positive, but steep PAT decline signals margin pressure and higher input/finance costs — near-term earnings momentum looks weak despite revenue expansion. Director reshuffle is routine and unlikely to move the stock.
