Promoter Patanjali Ayurved (PAL) has declared under SEBI Regulation 31(4) a Non-Disposal Undertaking (NDU) on 28.29 crore equity shares (~26% of equity capital) of Patanjali Foods Limited, in favour of lenders against financing facilities availed by PAL itself. PAL states no other encumbrance has been created on its holding in Patanjali Foods beyond this. The NDU was executed in physical form and the corresponding encumbrance marking in the depository system is still pending.
26% of promoter-held shares are now encumbered, restricting Patanjali Ayurved's ability to dispose of these shares until the underlying debt facility is settled.
