Peaccemeal cheers bulls as Dalal Street logs biggest gains in over 2 months

Nifty surged 461 points (2%) to close at 23,622.9 and Sensex jumped 1,695 points (2.3%) to 75,527.95, posting their biggest single-day gains in over two months. The rally was driven by optimism over a potential US-Iran deal to end the West Asia conflict, which pushed Brent crude down 2.4% to $88.3/barrel. India's VIX fell 5.7% to 14.72, while broader markets outperformed with Nifty Midcap 150 up 2.4% and Smallcap 250 up 2.6%; FIIs net sold Rs 1,082 crore against DII buying of Rs 5,341 crore.
