Pee Cee Cosma Sope Ltd's Executive Committee approved an investment of up to Rs. 3.5 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, India Trading Infra Ltd (formerly Surajbhan Agencies Limited). The investment will be through subscription of 35 lakh equity shares of Rs. 10 each at par, to be done in one or more tranches as part of a rights issue. India Trading Infra is already 100% owned by Pee Cee Cosma Sope and is engaged in trading of infrastructure materials, with a turnover of Rs. 21.41 lakhs. The capital infusion is intended to support the subsidiary's working capital needs, business expansion, and liquidity position. The transaction is in cash and does not require any regulatory approvals since the target is already a wholly owned subsidiary.
This is a routine internal capital infusion into an existing wholly owned subsidiary and is unlikely to have any material impact on Pee Cee Cosma Sope's share price or shareholder value. Shareholders may view it as a minor reallocation of capital to support the subsidiary's growth.
