Petronet LNG has submitted its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for FY 2024-25 to BSE and NSE, as required under SEBI regulations. The company reported a turnover of Rs 50,979.56 crore and net worth of Rs 19,382.38 crore, with 93.81% of revenue coming from regasified LNG sales. The report highlights strong ESG commitments including a target to achieve net-zero (Scope 1 & 2) emissions by 2040 and 100% renewable energy by 2035, with 69% of capex invested in environmental and social improvement projects. PLL also reported record operational milestones, including highest-ever daily, monthly, and quarterly gas send-out volumes, completion of two LNG storage tanks in a record 33 months, and the '5-Star Rating' and 'Sword of Honor' from the British Safety Council for the second consecutive year at both Dahej and Kochi terminals. The BRSR has been reasonably assured by M/s V. Sankar Aiyar & Co.
This is a routine mandatory ESG disclosure under SEBI's Regulation 34, so no immediate stock price impact is expected. However, the report reinforces Petronet LNG's strong sustainability credentials, operational excellence, and alignment with India's clean energy transition, which may support long-term investor confidence.
