Petronet LNG has appointed Mr. Deepak Gupta as a Non-Executive Director on its board with effect from March 18, 2026. He joins as a Nominee Director representing GAIL (India) Limited, one of Petronet's promoter companies, where he currently serves as Chairman & Managing Director. Mr. Gupta is a Mechanical Engineer with over 35 years of experience across the oil and gas value chain, including senior roles at Engineers India Limited and GAIL. He is not debarred by SEBI or any other authority and holds no equity shares in Petronet LNG. The appointment was approved by the board on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
This is a routine promoter-nominee appointment and is unlikely to have any material impact on the stock price or shareholder value. It strengthens inter-company coordination between Petronet LNG and its key promoter GAIL.
