Pfizer Limited reported its Q1 FY2026 results, with revenue from operations rising about 7.2% year-on-year to Rs 603.05 crore from Rs 562.86 crore in Q1 FY2025. Total income grew to Rs 670.22 crore from Rs 604.70 crore. Reported net profit fell to Rs 191.75 crore from Rs 330.94 crore, but the prior-year quarter included a one-time exceptional gain of Rs 172.81 crore from the sale of MIDC land and building. On a like-for-like basis (excluding exceptional items), earnings per share grew roughly 27%, from Rs 32.94 to Rs 41.91. The limited review by statutory auditors B S R & Co. LLP was clean with no modifications.
The headline profit drop is purely a base effect from last year's exceptional gain and does not reflect weakness in operations. Underlying business performance improved meaningfully, with healthy revenue growth and strong pre-exceptional earnings growth, which should be viewed positively by shareholders.
