PI Industries reported a challenging Q4 FY26 with revenue of ₹15,652 million (down 12% YoY) and EBITDA of ₹3,373 million (down 26% YoY). Full year FY26 revenue stood at ₹67,137 million (down 16%), with EBITDA at ₹17,053 million (down 22%) and PAT at ₹13,208 million (down 20%). The decline was driven by a 15% fall in agrochemical exports due to global industry contraction and domestic revenue softness from elevated channel inventories and pricing pressure. However, gross margin improved significantly to 58% (up 277 bps in Q4 and 507 bps for FY26) due to favorable product mix and cost discipline. Pharma business showed strong growth of 40% YoY in FY26. The company commercialized 5 new molecules in exports and 4 products in domestic markets. The board approved a final dividend of ₹10 per share (total FY26 dividend: ₹15 per share). Management maintained a cautious but positive outlook for FY27 citing a strong order book and 5+ new molecule launches planned.
The stock may face near-term pressure due to revenue and profit declines, but the maintained 25% EBITDA margin guidance, improving gross margins, strong cash position (₹34,265 million surplus), and robust pipeline of new products suggest resilience. The pharma diversification and new molecule launches could drive recovery in FY27.
