Piccadily Agro Industries reported Q1 FY26 standalone total income of Rs. 22,967.40 lakhs, up about 9.9% from Rs. 20,899.67 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Standalone profit after tax rose to Rs. 1,890.61 lakhs from Rs. 1,429.70 lakhs, a jump of roughly 32% year-on-year, with basic EPS at Rs. 2.00 versus Rs. 1.52 earlier. The distillery segment remained the key growth and profit driver with segment revenue of Rs. 16,283 lakhs and profit of Rs. 3,860 lakhs, while the sugar segment stayed in the red with a loss of Rs. 432 lakhs. Profit before tax climbed to Rs. 2,531 lakhs from Rs. 2,008 lakhs, helped by lower depreciation and finance costs. The auditor (Jain & Associates) issued an unmodified limited review report for both standalone and consolidated numbers.
Positive for shareholders: PAT growth of ~32% comfortably outpaced revenue growth of ~10%, signalling margin expansion and operating leverage, particularly from the high-margin distillery business. The strong distillery contribution continues to offset the weak sugar segment, but investors should note that quarterly performance is not fully representative due to the seasonal nature of one segment.
