Sharp India Ltd reported unaudited financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2025. The company posted a net loss of ₹743.96 lakhs for Q2 FY26, widening from ₹517.19 lakhs in the same quarter last year. For the half year, the loss stood at ₹1,261.15 lakhs versus ₹963.01 lakhs a year ago. Revenue from operations was negligible at ₹1.02 lakhs in Q2 (₹1.25 lakhs YoY). Accumulated losses have grown to ₹17,918.91 lakhs, fully eroding the company's net worth. There has been no production of LED TVs since April 2015 and air conditioners since June 2015 due to lack of orders.
Management has formally declared the company as 'not a going concern,' which is a serious red flag for shareholders. While Sharp Corporation Japan has reaffirmed financial support until September 2026, the company's continued losses, eroded net worth, and halted operations suggest high risk. An additional ₹216.87 lakhs charge on related-party borrowings further pressured results, and shareholders should expect significant uncertainty around future business revival.
