Motilal Oswal Financial Services reported strong FY25 results with operating revenue crossing Rs. 5,161 crores for the first time (up 31% YoY) and operating profit at Rs. 2,016 crores (up 31% YoY). Q4 FY25 operating revenue was Rs. 1,311 crores (up 8% YoY) and operating profit was Rs. 519 crores (up 3% YoY), with weaker Q4 partly impacted by cash volume decline due to market correction and new F&O regulations. Net worth reached a record Rs. 11,079 crores (up 27% YoY) with ROE at 25%. The group now serves over 12 million customers and assets under advice crossed Rs. 5.5 lakh crores. Asset Management gross flows surged 290% to Rs. 68,007 crores with AMC AUM at Rs. 1.23 lakh crores, while Wealth Management net flows tripled to Rs. 10,279 crores. Housing Finance AUM grew 20% to Rs. 4,878 crores with disbursements up 78%. The company guided for improved spreads/margins, mentioned an Investment Banking pipeline over 2x FY25 revenues, and a target of $900 million for PE Fund V.
Robust FY25 performance with record profits, net worth and ROE signals strong fundamentals. Management's confidence in continued growth across wealth, asset management and housing finance businesses, plus margin improvement guidance from falling interest rates, is positive for shareholders, though softer Q4 growth and F&O regulatory impact may temper near-term brokerage outlook.
