UPL Group's subsidiary Advanta Seeds has acquired key corn assets from Italian company K-Adriatica, including temperate corn breeding germplasm, a pipeline of corn hybrids, and a product portfolio. The acquired germplasm represents over 20 years of targeted breeding suited to European growing conditions. The deal strengthens Advanta's presence in the European corn market and complements its existing temperate corn genetics from Argentina, Australia, and the United States. The assets will also be leveraged in other key markets including North India, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, China, and the USA. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
