Mahindra & Mahindra reported total auto sales of 84,110 vehicles in May 2025, up 17% year-on-year, driven by SUV (Utility Vehicle) domestic sales of 52,431 units, a 21% jump. Total exports rose 37% to 3,652 units, while YTD FY26 SUV sales grew 24% to 1,04,761 units. The Commercial Vehicles segment was mixed, with the small LCV (<2T) category declining 18% but heavier LCVs and 3-wheelers posting solid gains. Separately, the Farm Equipment Business sold 38,914 tractors domestically in May, up 10%, with total tractor sales (including exports) at 40,643 units, also up 10%. Management cited early southwest monsoon progress and a hike in MSP for kharif crops as positive signals for tractor demand going forward.
Strong double-digit growth across both core businesses — SUVs and tractors — signals robust demand momentum and supports a positive near-term outlook for revenue and earnings, though the softening in the small LCV sub-segment is a minor watchpoint.
