Crisil Limited's Board has approved the re-appointment of Ms. Shyamala Gopinath (DIN: 02362921) as an Independent Director for a short second term from July 10, 2025 to December 31, 2025, subject to shareholder approval. Her existing five-year term ends on July 9, 2025. The re-appointment is essentially a bridging arrangement because the NRC's shortlisted successor candidate needs additional time to fulfil contractual obligations from a previous role and cannot join before Ms. Gopinath's current term expires. Ms. Gopinath, a former Deputy Governor of RBI with nearly 39 years of financial sector policy experience, has agreed to continue to ensure a smooth board transition.
