Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has won a new order from Polestar Maritime Limited to build two 70 T Bollard Pull Tugs. The order is classified as 'Notable', meaning it is valued between Rs 100 and 250 crore, with deliveries scheduled for May 2027 and September 2027. This is a repeat order, as Polestar had earlier contracted three similar tugs with CSL's wholly owned subsidiary Udupi-CSL. With this addition, the CSL Group's total order book now includes 18 tugs and 2 green tugs in various stages of construction. The tugs will be built jointly by CSL and Udupi-CSL using Robert Allan Limited designs under India's Make in India / Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiative.
A positive order win that strengthens CSL's already healthy tug-building order book and confirms repeat business from Polestar Maritime, reflecting client confidence.
