NLC India Limited (NLCIL) posted its highest-ever profit after tax of Rs. 2,713.61 crore for FY25, with profit before tax rising 28.29% to Rs. 3,696.93 crore. Revenue from operations grew 17.55% to Rs. 15,282.96 crore, while EBITDA hit a record Rs. 6,512.96 crore. On the operational side, the company achieved its highest-ever coal production of 172.02 lakh tonnes (up 36.08% YoY) and lignite production of 240.60 LT. CAPEX crossed Rs. 7,700 crore for the year. Major milestones include commercial operation declaration of Unit-I (660 MW) at Ghatampur Thermal Power Project, securing two new coal blocks (Machchakata Revised and New Patrapara South), and signing a power purchase agreement for 810 MW solar project in Rajasthan. The board recommended a final dividend of 15% (Rs. 1.5 per share), taking total FY25 dividend to 30% (Rs. 3 per share).
Record profits, strong revenue growth, and highest-ever production underscore robust business momentum, likely to be viewed positively by investors. The combined 30% dividend offers direct shareholder returns, while new project wins and high CAPEX signal continued expansion in coal, thermal, and renewable energy segments.
