Polycab India reported its highest-ever first-quarter revenue, EBITDA, and profitability for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue grew 26% year-on-year to ₹59,060 million, driven by a strong 31% growth in the Wires & Cables (W&C) segment and 18% growth in the Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) business. EBITDA rose 47% YoY to ₹8,576 million with margins expanding ~210 basis points to 14.5%, while Profit After Tax jumped 49% YoY to ₹5,997 million, taking PAT margins to 10.2%. The FMEG segment recorded its second consecutive profitable quarter, led by a more than 2x YoY growth in solar products, though the fans category was soft due to a shorter summer. The EPC business declined 19% YoY to ₹3,474 million. Net cash on the balance sheet stood at ₹31.0 billion, nearly double from ₹16.4 billion a year earlier, and the company paid out a ₹35 per share dividend on July 1, 2025.
Strong all-round quarterly performance with broad-based growth and margin expansion is positive for shareholders; the healthy net cash position and recent dividend payout reinforce the company's financial strength, though the weak EPC segment and mixed FMEG sub-category trends are minor watchpoints.
