Power Grid Corporation has published a notice about a special window opened for transfer and dematerialisation of physical securities, as per SEBI circular dated January 30, 2026. The window is open from February 5, 2026 to February 4, 2027, lasting one year. This facility is for physical securities that were bought or sold before April 1, 2019, and also covers previously rejected or unattended transfer requests. Shareholders can submit requests to the company at investors@powergrid.in or to KFin Technologies Limited, the Registrar and Share Transfer Agent. Transferred securities will be credited in demat mode only and will be locked in for one year from the date of transfer registration. During this lock-in period, securities cannot be transferred, lien-marked, or pledged. Disputes between transferor and transferee, and securities transferred to IEPF, will not be processed under this window.
This is an administrative notice facilitating dematerialisation of old physical shares. It does not directly impact the company's financials or stock price but helps shareholders convert physical certificates to electronic form. No immediate impact on existing shareholders holding demat shares.
