Power Grid of India board okays raising borrowing limit to Rs 2.2 lakh cr

Power Grid of India board approved raising its borrowing limit from Rs 1,80,000 crore to Rs 2,20,000 crore, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. The board also cleared foreign currency borrowing of up to USD 500 million via External Commercial Borrowings from Bank of Baroda. Additionally, it approved a Rs 772.65 crore investment for upgradation of the Udumalpet-Madurai 400kV transmission line, targeted for completion by August 2028.
