PGInvIT announced a Q1 FY26 distribution of ₹3.00 per unit, keeping it on track for its full-year FY26 guidance of ₹12 per unit. This marks the 16th consecutive quarterly distribution since listing, with cumulative payouts of ₹49.50 per unit (₹45.05 billion) since the 2021 IPO. Consolidated income stood at ₹3,250 million against expenses of ₹1,203 million, yielding an NDCF of ₹2,758 million, of which 99% was distributed to unitholders. Management highlighted a new growth avenue: the Boards of PGInvIT and sponsor POWERGRID have approved forming a consortium to bid for up to 2 TBCB transmission projects worth an aggregate ₹500 crore. The trust maintains an AAA credit rating, a low net borrowing ratio of ~5.21%, and average asset availability above 98% across its 5 SPVs.
The in-line distribution supports near-term unitholder returns and likely keeps the unit price stable, but the absence of major acquisitions remains a concern. The new TBCB consortium and monitoring of state-level asset monetization offer future growth optionality, though POWERGRID has clearly shifted to securitization over InvIT-based monetization, limiting sponsor pipeline visibility.
