POWERGRID Infrastructure Investment Trust (PGInvIT) has declared a distribution of Rs. 3.00 per unit for the quarter ended December 31, 2025 — unchanged from the previous quarter, signalling a stable payout. The amount is split into Rs. 1.84 as interest, Rs. 0.50 as taxable dividend, Rs. 0.14 as exempt dividend, Rs. 0.51 as return of capital, and Rs. 0.01 as treasury income. Record date is February 12, 2026, with payment by February 19, 2026. On an annualised basis at the latest NAV of Rs. 92.86 per unit, this works out to a distribution yield of roughly 12-13%, attractive for income-focused investors. Standalone revenue for Q3 stood at Rs. 2,489.62 crore (vs Rs. 2,252.25 crore in Q2 FY26), while standalone profit after tax came in at Rs. 2,280.63 crore. The Trust also formed a consortium with its sponsor POWERGRID to bid for up to two TBCB projects worth about Rs. 500 crore.
Stable Rs. 3.00 per unit distribution is positive for unitholders relying on steady cash flows, with no cut vs prior quarter. The high single-digit-yield-plus payout and AAA/Stable credit rating continue to make PGInvIT appealing for income investors; meanwhile, new project participation via the POWERGRID consortium offers growth optionality.
