Prabhu Steel Industries has submitted its 53rd Annual Report for FY 2024-25 along with the AGM notice to BSE and Calcutta Stock Exchange. Revenue from operations fell to Rs. 1,327.01 lakhs from Rs. 1,539.29 lakhs in the previous year, a decline of about 14%. Profit before tax dropped sharply to Rs. 23.56 lakhs versus Rs. 185.01 lakhs last year, mainly because the previous year included one-time exceptional items of Rs. 206.26 lakhs. Profit after tax stood at Rs. 55.74 lakhs, down from Rs. 116.38 lakhs. The Board has not recommended any dividend for the year. The 53rd AGM is scheduled for September 26, 2025, and shareholders will vote on adopting the financial statements, re-appointing Managing Director Dinesh Gangaram Agrawal, re-appointing Independent Director Rajesh Singh for a second five-year term, and appointing M/s Jaymin Modi & Co. as secretarial auditors for five years. E-voting runs from September 22 to 25, 2025.
The drop in revenue and profit is largely explained by the absence of last year's one-time exceptional gain; core operations actually improved, swinging from a Rs. 21.25 lakh loss before exceptional items to a Rs. 23.56 lakh profit. No dividend means no cash return to shareholders this year, but the filing is a routine compliance update with no major strategic shift.
