Praj Industries reported a sharp decline in profitability for FY26. Q4 revenue was Rs 8,445.6 million (flat vs Q4 FY25), but PBT fell 73% to Rs 154.7 million and PAT dropped 71% to Rs 116.1 million. Full-year revenue was Rs 31,678.8 million with PAT of just Rs 238.5 million, down approximately 89% from Rs 2,189.3 million in FY25. The order backlog stood at Rs 43,050 million as of March 31, 2026, with Q4 order intake at Rs 6,580 million. The board proposed a final dividend of Rs 3.60 per share. Management attributed the weak performance to external headwinds but expressed confidence in the company's technology position in bioenergy and modularisation to deliver improved results going forward.
Profitability collapsed year-on-year despite stable revenues, raising concerns about cost structures or pricing pressures. The strong order backlog provides revenue visibility, but investors will closely watch whether the promised performance improvement materialises in FY27.
