Precision Camshafts filed its Q3 FY26 investor presentation with the exchanges. On a standalone basis, total income rose 3.74% quarter-on-quarter to ₹152.72 crore, but profit after tax (PAT) declined 28.53% year-on-year. On a consolidated basis, total income fell 3.25% QoQ to ₹188.48 crore, while PAT grew 6.33% QoQ but was down 4.89% YoY. Total camshaft volumes rose slightly to 2.23 million units, but the mix tilted further toward casting (74% vs 70% in Q2 FY26), with machined camshaft volumes slipping to 0.58 million units. PCL itself contributed ₹151.71 crore of the ₹188.48 crore consolidated income, while MEMCO and EMOSS added ₹11.97 crore and ₹23.96 crore respectively. MFT (subsidiary) is under insolvency and no longer part of the group.
The sharp YoY standalone PAT drop despite revenue growth points to margin compression, and the shift toward casting (a lower-value product) versus machined camshafts may continue to weigh on profitability. The MFT exit from the group removes a loss-making drag, but mixed quarterly trends suggest investors should watch margin trajectory and segment mix closely.
